Thinking about poses for wedding photos? Here are some tips from a wedding photographer in Singapore!

The concept of taking brilliant wedding photos in Singapore may sound challenging. To many who are not models or influencers, posting for wedding photos may seem like a daunting task. Well fret not, here are some tips to let you look natural when taking wedding photos with your wedding photographer.

Avoidable Wedding Pose Mistakes

  1. Kissing with eyes opened is hardly natural. But when in doubt, just kiss like how you usually do.

  2. Turn your head when kissing, you wouldn't want to squish your partner's nose

  3. Slow it down, slowing down your interactions gives great space for your wedding photographer to have additional time for the perfect shot. It is not a race, so take it slow!

  4. Speak up if you have any concerns, a preferred side, etc. Having that seasoned communication with your wedding photographer will go a long way in aligning your needs

Standard ideas during your wedding photoshoot

  1. Dancing - The usual twirl the bride

  2. Follow me - Leading your partner's hand on the next journey. Looking back at your partner when moving

  3. Head on the shoulder while hugging his arms

  4. A natural hug

  5. A kiss on the forehead or the cheeks

  6. Doing an activity together

  7. Carrying the bride

  8. Hand on the chest while holding her waist

  9. Hugging the bride from behind as a 'surprise'

  10. Piggyback

  11. Forehead to forehead

  12. Having his arms hugging the bride from behind

  13. Walking, together

  14. Snuggling on a seat together

  15. Having your hand on the cheek or on the back of his/her head
